Goedman Residence
Seeleys Bay ON
2 bed female home

This is a newly built home, just a few years old, located on the outskirts of Kingston, Ontario on a generous space of land. This residence is situated within minutes of a large lake in Kingston, suitable for swimming, fishing and winter play.

The home has five bedrooms, a finished basement and luxurious bathroom facilities, including a bath with jets. The property is fixed with a five-foot deep above ground pool, great for summer time recreation and play. The home is equipped with bicycles, a trampoline, a swing set, sand box and various additional games and toys suitable for any aged child or youth. The family owns their own equipment for travel and camping and spends time enjoying such activities as a family.

The foster parents have almost ten years of experience working with children and youth in treatment foster homes and staff-modeled treatment homes. They have knowledge of and familiarity using behavioural programs, including points and levels systems with a rewards-based approach. The Goedman’s have a great deal of proficiency in teaching life skills, social skills, anger management and providing safe, non-violent behavioural management.

Weekly therapy is offered to the children and youth whom reside in this home, given by a very scholarly and skilled psychotherapist and behaviourist who supervises and monitors all programming and interventions with expertise. All programming is created and implemented based on each child’s needs and is intended to provide need-specific intervention. Area Supervisor, Therapist, Child Care Workers and Foster Family work in unity, alongside all involved professionals and natural family to create a cohesive team, designed to best meet the essential needs of each resident.
