Woodcock Youth Centre (Stonehaven Residence)
Brockville, ON
8 male bed home

The Woodcock Youth Centre is located 10 minutes east off Brockville just off Hwy 401. This 8 bed, Live in/staff assisted home for latency aged children is a gray stone rural farmhouse with an immense property.

The program is based on a behaviour modification approach through positive reinforcement. Residents quickly learn that with privileges comes responsibility. This is done to prepare residents for a less intrusive model of home or long term care.

This home is 35 minutes from any major city, which allows for easy access to resources. As well, because of the distance and rural setting, AWOL’s are passively deterred. Residents are encouraged to participate in riding lessons and maintenance of the 20-horse and pony ranch located on the property. Children have the opportunity to attend horse shows and compete in competitions.
